Re-discovering life with my camera.
At Mongolian Hot Pot in Houston the idea is to self cook meat and vegetables in a very hot and delicious spicy broth shared and placed in the center of the table.
I remember how well my kids ate that day. They had four protein options, lettuce, spinach and noodles. It was like watching a crazy, fun and a a little messy ceremony were everyone participated.
The kids were having fun (besides eating things that they might had refused if it had not been for the experience), and it made me wonder: Do cultures that share food have better interactions among each other? Is food better appreciated?
All I know is that day it was a yes and yes to both questions, and even though it was messier than desired, it seemed to work out ok.
