Re-discovering life with my camera.
Inspiration: In spirit with whatever moves your life.
This is what I think : Simple unexpected things bring the most inspiration. They might not be what we expect them to be and we can easily miss them, but inspiration is everywhere.
I guess that’s why I like visiting Max’s Haus Mercantile. This little house is filled with vintage, old, funky wonderful things filled with color, shapes, textures and even some sense of humor. It is two blocks away from my studio and when I’ve been sitting in front of my computer for too long I take a break and visit. Norma, is always happy to see you. She makes a wonderful job choosing and re arranging each room with things that are ready to become something. She completely get’s it, it is not what they are, it all about what they can be! If you have seen Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium movie, you know what I mean!
I first visited Max’s Haus looking for that perfect prop for a photo-shoot, and even though I still find wonderful props there it has become one of the places I go for inspiration.
What wonderful pictures, so much interest and texture, a tour of bygone days!
Most of all, brushes in a silver wine cooler!
Esta padrisimo mama! You are so right inspiration can come from anywhere!!

Beautiful pictures, Pauline!
Thank you Tammy.
These are the kinds of things that inspire me as well!
Shapes and texture and old funky stuff! Isn’t it?
This looks like the kind of place that I could spend hours at!!
Oh yes, I can also spent too much time there, and because it is constantly changing I find myself visiting often!
I concur. Inspiration is all around you. I love thrifting and estate sales. Treasure hunting!
True inspiration is everywhere Heather! When my kids were toddlers I created characters and stories from what they used to collect in the park. Back then those small pieces of Nature were what gave me inspiration. Who would have known! I guess, they were everywhere: all around my house and after all, they were pretty amazing.
