Re-discovering life with my camera.

A new Look!

I visited Elizabeth a month ago at the Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio http://www.ciachef.edu/texas, when she was giving her delicious Brazilian Fish Stew a new look.  I got to hang out with her, meet other wonderful chefs, and tried caramelized onion and cheese pizza.

White coats and tall hats were moving in all directions.  The sound of  chopping, cutting and sizzling,  were a world of its own and the only mismatch was me!

It was interesting to see the transformation from the fish stew we had shot months ago, to the one she presented to her boss that day. While she used the same ingredients, the result was a completely different presentation.  Both beautiful in their own way and yet created to be served in two very different circumstances.

It took Elizabeth  all morning to figure out the new look, at the end it was worth it.    Beautiful and delicious, the new look was served!
